Welcome, New/Curious Readers

If you are checking out TimTeblog.com for the first time after seeing Dan Shanoff's essay in Sunday's New York Times about Tebow fans suddenly becoming Jets fans, welcome!

The site goes back to 2009 and the hysteria surrounding Tebow's final season in college football, then extended into the hysteria around the NFL Draft, then the hysteria around his rookie season, then the hysteria of this past season's playoff surge... and now the hysteria of Tebow relocating to New York City. Feel free to check out old posts or just pop by daily for news and analysis about the Tebow phenomenon.

(Dan's other project -- Quickish.com, a start-up sports-news recommendation service -- also has plenty about Tim Tebow. Check it out.)

You can reach Dan at timteblog-[at]-gmail-[dot]-com or dshanoff-[at]-gmail-[dot]-com.

  2. Timteblog is the best Tebow blog around. Some of the others out there, especially Tebowzone are garbage I hate to say. Congrats Dan on contributing to the NY Times and WP, both great newspapers. You've come a long way from writing for Yahoo.

    1. The guy who's run tebowzone.com since Tim was a sophomore at UF has gotten married & become a father in about the past year & just doesn't have the time for it anymore. Earlier this year he even asked the site's regulars if any of them want to run it for him. I wish I had the time-I'd love to run it.

    2. My problem with Tebowzone is not the lack of updates, but the gossip/tabloid nature of many of the posts. During Super Bowl week, instead of reporting real news like Tim winning the Never Say Never Award, they choose to report Tim partying with Maria Menounos. The "girlfriend" section of the blog is also a joke. It's all speculation and very little facts. It's okay if he doesn't know, but why bother reporting gossip and innuendos?

    3. LOL. Yeah, I agree on that. I think he's done that, b/c the majority of the comments on his site have been from females. It wouldn't surprise me if he'd even gotten emails requesting that kind of info from them.
