Tim Tebow: EA NCAA Football 2011 Cover

The news is out: Tim Tebow will be the cover athlete of EA's NCAA Football 2011 game. (Read ESPN.com's report from the cover shoot here.)

This is entirely expected -- probably since Tebow's Heisman season. He is the face of college football -- not just last season or 2008 or 2007... but arguably the all-time face of the sport.

It is still unknown whether Tebow will be in New York City for the first night (or nights) of the NFL Draft, but he will almost assuredly be at EA's annual pre-draft event for its featured athletes, which happens a few nights before the draft is held.

EA becomes the second huge endorsement deal that Tebow has secured: His Nike deal was officially announced today. EA is next. (Your move, Gatorade.)

Oh, a fun little detail from the ESPN piece: The Madden '11 producer said that Tebow will have the top-rated "trucking" ability among any quarterback in the game.
