Tebow LSU Update: No Decision Yet

"Today's a big day. Tomorrow is a big day. That's (evaluation is) going on right now. Tuesday-Wednesday are huge when you're out nine, 10 days now. It's all about steps. We'll know more today."

-- Urban Meyer to USA Today, about Tebow's status for LSU on Saturday. In typical Meyer fashion, he's being as honest as he can be, but he's not in a position to say anything definitive.

Kudos to the Palm Beach Post's intrepid Ben Volin, whose reporting that John Brantley is the likely starter -- even if Tebow is cleared to play -- has been leading Tebow-related discussion today.

Let's say Tebow is cleared, but Brantley starts -- there's no guarantee that Tebow would play. If it looked like the Gators had the game in hand -- or, I suppose, were being routed (theoretical point, at best) -- I don't think they would play him.
