Tebow Tailgate: Tebow on the NFL Prep

A subplot throughout the preseason -- and, undoubtedly, throughout the regular season -- is how Tebow is "progressing" toward an NFL future. Personally, I think it's overblown; he will learn more about being an NFL QB in the month after the season than in the four months OF the season. The NFL simply isn't his focus -- that won't stop the REST of us from focusing on it, of course.

Anyway, as we head into the season opener, here is an essential quote from Tebow about how the NFL might be lingering out there somewhere, but it isn't his focus, it isn't the reason he came back, it's not what Loefler has been working on and it won't impact the way he plays this season:
"I think as far as us working, trying to get better, tweaking things and trying to improve things, absolutely we're doing that. We've done that every year. But this year, as much or more than any other year, are we trying to get better and improve on my weaknesses and my strengths? Are we changing, improving and working on things? Yes we are. But is it for the NFL? No."
Hat-tip to the St. Pete Times' Antonya English for the post tackling this topic.
